i-NETT Featured in Credit Union Times for AltaOne Telecom Savings
In 2011, i-NETT delivered a multi-year telecommunications modernization for AltaOne Federal Credit Union, a regulated financial institution serving California communities.
The engagement was initiated to eliminate telecom waste, correct billing inefficiencies, and establish long-term control over carrier services.
i-NETT assumed full responsibility for AltaOne’s telecommunications environment through its IT support services, replacing fragmented vendor oversight with centralized accountability.
This included managing carrier relationships, auditing all active services, and restructuring agreements to reflect actual usage across AltaOne’s locations.
Specific actions included removing unused and duplicate lines, eliminating unsolicited carrier fees, and aligning accounts to more competitive carrier contracts. These changes were supported by ongoing cloud and communications management to prevent cost creep over time.
The results were measurable and sustained.
AltaOne achieved approximately $5,000 per month in recurring savings. In addition, billing audits uncovered carrier errors that resulted in a one-time credit of more than $100,000 from Verizon.
This engagement was later featured in Credit Union Times, recognizing the financial impact of disciplined telecom oversight and structured carrier management.
